Hickory’s Hans Crouse continues to battle through bone spurs, and today had one of his better outings of the season. Crouse needed just 68 pitches to go 6 IP, with 6 hits, 0 walks, 5 Ks and 2 runs. Among the hitters, Josh Jung had a double, and Pedro Gonzalez and Jonathan Ornelas each had singles.

Frisco went with Emmanuel Clase as their opener, and he went two innings, striking out 1 and allowing 1 hit. Jonathan Hernandez followed him and went 3 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits, 2 walks and 2 Ks. Leody Taveras had 2 walks and Isiah Kiner-Falefa had a hit and a walk.

Down East won a pair today, and in the second game, Tim Brennan had a 7 inning CGSO, with 3 hits allowed, 3 Ks and 1 walk. J.P. Martinez had a pair of hits today, including a home run in the bottom of the 7th that tied the game.

As for Nashville, Nick Solak homered again — his fourth bomb since coming to the Rangers organization — and Scott Heineman had a pair of hits while playing first base.
