Tyler Phillips had a quality start for Frisco tonight, his fourth outing in a row where he allowed 3 runs of fewer. Phillips went 6 IP, allowing 1 run on 4 hits and 2 walk, with 4 Ks. C.D. Pelham struck out 3 of 5 batters he faced while walking 1 in 1.1 IP. Offensively, Isiah Kiner-Falefa homered and Leody Taveras doubled.

John King got the start for Down East and threw 3 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits with 1 K. Scott Engler threw 3 shutout innings behind him, striking out 2 and allowing 1 hit, and Cole Uvila struck out all 3 batters he faced. J.P. Martinez had a single and a double, Curtis Terry had two singles, and Sam Huff and Bubba Thompson each had hits.

Ronny Henriquez pitched for Hickory and had a rough outing, giving up 5 runs in 4 IP on 8 hits and 3 walks. Jesus Linarez threw 3 shutout innings, allowing 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 5.
