No one would have believed that the Rangers could win one game in Oakland, much less two, and certainly not two in a row. But the Rangers have done it with a come-from-behind 5-2 victory over the Athletics tonight. No word on when the parade through downtown Arlington will be held but we’ll keep you posted.
Player of the Game: This game was actually quite similar to last night’s affair with Lance Lynn running into first inning trouble and allowing a couple of runs before the Rangers offense started finally came to life in the middle innings. When it did, recently recalled Willie Calhoun was the star for the Rangers at the plate as he went 2-for-3 with a walk, double, home run, and two RBI.
Up Next: The Rangers and A’s have another go at it with RHP Adrian Sampson set to make the start for Texas against RHP Homer Bailey for Oakland. The first pitch on Saturday night is scheduled for 8:07 pm CT.
