MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospect list for mid season 2019 is out, as is their updated rankings of every team’s top 30 prospects, and the Texas Rangers placed three players in the back half of the top 100.
Josh Jung is the highest ranked Ranger on the list — the #8 overall pick in the 2019 draft is slotted in at #60. Sam Huff is the second Ranger, at #79 overall, while Hans Crouse is at #83.
On the Rangers top 30 prospect list, Cole Winn and Leody Taveras round out the top five, followed by Joe Palumbo, Brock Burke, Bubba Thompson, Davis Wendzel and Sherten Apostel. Maximo Acosta, Osleivis Basabe and Ricky Vanasco are on the list at rankings perhaps a bit higher than would be expected, while Taylor Hearn and J.P. Martinez are significantly lower than they have been in the past.
