53-53 - Rangers suffer latest indignity at the Oakland Coliseum with 6-5 walk-off loss

Not even Danny Santana could save the Rangers in this one

I mean, it was a game between the Rangers and Athletics at the Oakland Coliseum. What else did you expect? (Except, I don’t know, maybe not just totally hanging Jose Leclerc out to dry for a 30-pitch ninth inning in his third consecutive game?)

Player of the Game: The Summer of Santana continued with a solo blast from Danny Santana who finished a triple shy of the cycle. On the day, Santana went 3-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored, and the RBI off his dinger.

Up Next: The Rangers have the day off on Monday before welcoming the Seattle Mariners to The Ballpark on Tuesday just ahead of the trade deadline. Ariel Jurado is scheduled to pitch for Texas in the opener against Mike Leake for Seattle but who even knows who will be on these teams by then.
