60-61 - Rangers get ransacked by Twins in 13-6 beating

I can’t believe the Rangers played like that in front of David Dellucci!

MLB: Minnesota Twins at Texas Rangers Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Let’s ignore the big league team for a moment and take notice of the fact that Joe Palumbo threw six no-hit innings in what is likely his final Triple-A tune up for Nashville tonight!

Anyhow that’s about the best hands waving distracting I can do about the fact that the Rangers lost 13-6 tonight. If you want a positive, every member of the lineup had at least one hit.

Player of the Game: Willie Calhoun was a member of tonight’s lineup who got a hit. In fact, Willie got two hits tonight and one of them he parked in the right field stands for his 11th home run in his brief time in the big leagues this season.

Up Next: LHP Mike Minor will take the mound for the Rangers as he looks to extend his 15 inning scoreless streak against RHP Jake Odorizzi and the Twins. Friday night’s first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
