Jason Bahr takes perfect game into sixth

Frisco righthander Jason Bahr retired the first 15 batters h faced tonight

Frisco righthander Jason Bahr started the year at high-A Down East before moving up to the Texas League, and he’s adjusted well to the increased level of competition. Bahr had a perfect game going into the 6th inning, and ended up going 5.1 IP, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out 7. Yohander Mendez, continuing his rehab assignment, allowed 3 walks and 2 hits in an inning of work. Leody Taveras had a pair of hits, and Yonny Hernandez had three hits.

For Down East tonight, Sam Huff had 3 hits, Sherten Apostel had 2 hits, and Yohel Pozo had a home run and a walk.

For Hickory, Hever Bueno allowed 2 runs in 2 IP, striking out 2. Kelvin Gonzalez threw a scoreless 9th and, per Scott Lucas, hit 100 twice on the Augusta stadium gun. Jonathan Ornelas had a pair of doubles and a walk, Josh Jung had a single and a walk, and Pedro Gonzalez had a triple.

For Nashville, Nick Solak had two hits and a walk, Ronald Guzman had a hit and a walk, and Eli White had a hit and two walks.

Rehabbing Edison Volquez allowed a run on 2 hits in an inning for the AZL Rangers. Rehabbing Dylan Bice allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 2 IP while striking out 4.
