Texas Rangers lineup for August 30, 2019 against the Seattle Mariners: starting pitchers are Kolby Allard for the Rangers and Marco Gonzalez for the Mariners.
The Rangers look to rebound from last night’s loss to Seattle, and will do so with Nick Solak, the only player we care about anymore, playing third base. This isn’t the first time he’s ever played third base as a professional, but his only other experience was 4 innings mid-game for Durham earlier this year. Solak isn’t likely to be a good defensive third baseman, but this gives the team a chance to look at him at a new position and determine if he’s a part-time option there, or if he might be able to handle it well enough to make him an actual third base option next year.
The lineup:
Choo — RF
Elvis — SS
Calhoun — DH
Solak — 3B
Santana — 1B
Odor — 2B
DeShields — CF
Heineman — LF
Trevino — C
