Righthanded pitcher Jason Bahr doesn’t show up on prospect rankings and, since coming over from San Francisco last season, has largely flown under the radar, despite putting up quality numbers this year. Bahr has been especially strong of late, with his 7 shutout innings for Frisco today, with 8 Ks against 1 hit and 2 walks, just the latest example. In his last 5 outings Bahr has allowed 5 runs in 30 IP, with 34 Ks, 10 walks and 12 hits allowed.

Demarcus Evans finished the job tonight for Frisco, striking out 2, walking 2 and allowing 2 hits in 2 shutout innings of work. He could be in Arlington next week.

For Down East, Cole Uvila was touched up for 2 runs in 2 innings of work. J.P. Martinez was 3 for 5 with a homer, and Sherten Apostel had a hit and a walk.

Rehabbing Yohander Mendez threw two shutout innings, with 3 Ks and a walk. Joe Barlow allowed a run on 2 hits and 2 walks in an inning of work. Kyle Bird gave up 2 runs in 1.1 IP on 3 hits, 2 walks and a K.

The AZL Rangers won the AZL Championship with their win this evening. Heriberto Hernandez had a double and yet another home run, after having mashed all season.
