The minor league regular seasons are wrapping up, and there should be some promotions from the minors starting tomorrow. A pair of Ranger affiliates, Down East and Frisco, each played two today on the last day before major league rosters expand.

Down East saw J.P. Martinez go deep in Game One and then log a single, a walk, and a stolen base in Game Two. Diosbel Arias has four hits, Sam Huff had a pair of hits and Sherten Apostel, Bubba Thompson and Curtis Terry each had hits.

In the Frisco doubleheader, Yonny Hernandez had two hits and two walks, and Ryan Dorow had three hits and a walk. C.D. Pelham threw a scoreless inning with a K and a walk.

Abdiel Mendoza, the 20 year old Panamanian pitcher who came over last year in the Cory Gearrin trade, has quietly had a nice season for Hickory. He lowered his ERA on the year to 3.15 with 5 innings of one run ball today. Hever Bueno threw a scoreless 9th. Tyreque Reed had 3 hits, Josh Jung had two hits and a walk, and Pedro Gonzalez had two hits.
