Nothing is scarier than Khris Davis against the Rangers

Friday the 13th with a full moon and Khris Davis in town? It was all set up to be a horror story for the Rangers tonight as four different, two-out home runs by the Athletics ultimately did them in with Davis contributing two dongs himself as Oakland hit five long balls total.

Texas had a great opportunity to finally climb back above .500 for the first time since ending the day on August 11 with a 59-58 record following a 1-0 win against the Brewers. However, despite leads of 4-3 and 7-6, the Rangers still haven’t seen themselves sitting with a positive record for over a month now.

Player of the Game: Both Shin-Soo Choo and Danny Santana hit three-run bombs that gave the Rangers a lead at the time but Texas couldn’t hold on with Davis and the A’s ready to pounce from out of the darkness and give us a fright.

Up Next: The Rangers and A’s will do battle once more with LHP Mike Minor making the start for Texas against RHP Mike Fiers for Oakland. Saturday’s first pitch from The Ballpark is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
