Monday Morning Texas Rangers Update

Only a week of baseball left in 2019 :(

Texas Rangers v Oakland Athletics

Good morning.

T.R. Sullivan recaps yesterday’s 8-3 homer-fueled victory for the Rangers over the Athletics which concluded Texas’ road schedule for the 2019 season.

Jeff Wilson writes that the Rangers ended their road slate a pretty bad team away from home which is something they’ll have to improve in 2020.

Evan Grant writes that it was a poor showing by the offense on the road, not the pitching, that doomed the Rangers away from Texas.

Sullivan writes that Chris Woodward has found purpose in battling against contending teams this month in his evaluations for next season.

Wilson notes that picking a Rangers Pitcher of the Year — between the stellar seasons from Mike Minor and Lance Lynn — will actually be difficult for once in this franchise’s history.

And, lastly, Will Leitch names a breakout player from each team with Joey Gallo ascending from erroneously perceived poster boy for all that is wrong with this era of baseball to legit All-Star for the Rangers this year.

Have a nice day!
