The Texas Rangers had a quartet of players appear in last night’s Arizona Fall League action for the Surprise Saguaros, and righthanded reliever Cole Uvila was the star of the group. Uvila, a 6’3”, 206 lb. righthander who was a 40th round pick as a fifth year senior in 2017, struck out 4 of the 7 batters he faced, walking 1 and allowing no hits in 2 IP. He now has 8 Ks against a walk and 2 hits in 4 shutout innings of work for the Saguaros.

Josh Advocate, another righty reliever who, like Uvila, spent most of 2019 in Down East, pitched a scoreless inning with 2 Ks as well. For the hitters, Bubba Thompson was 0 for 4 with 3 Ks while playing left field, and Jax Biggers, manning second base for Surprise, was 1 for 2 with a pair of walks and a pair of stolen bases.
