Texas Rangers lineup for September 27, 2019 against the New York Yankees: starting pitchers are Joe Palumbo for the Rangers and James Paxton for the Yankees.
The Texas Rangers start their final series of the season, and at Globe Life Park. Joe Palumbo gets his final outing of the year, and likely isn’t going to go 120+ pitches like Mike Minor did yesterday. In our Nick Solak Watch, our target is playing third base and hitting cleanup fifth.
(Ed. note — I’m going to blame John Blake for this one. He tweeted out the lineup with Palumbo at the end, and I basically counted backwards, saw there were five players listed after Solak, and thus had him at cleanup. Palumbo, of course, is not batting.)
The lineup:
Choo — DH
Elvis — SS
Calhoun — LF
Santana — 1B
Solak — 3B
Odor — 2B
Heineman — RF
DeShields — CF
Trevino — C
