I suppose it wouldn’t really feel like The Ballpark was getting a proper send off unless we were getting our hearts stomped on by the Yankees.

Player of the Game: Danny Santana is over his second half swoon, it appears, as tonight he contributed the first two runs for Texas in the bottom of the first inning to briefly give the Rangers a lead. With the grand slam on thursday, and the dinger tonight, Santana is up to 28 dongs and 80 RBI.

Up Next: With Brock Burke shut down for the rest of the year, the Rangers will be opting for a bullpen game on Saturday in the penultimate game of the season. RHP Luis Severino will make the start for the Yankees. Saturday’s first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
