The Texas Rangers have agreed to one year deals with Joey Gallo, Danny Santana and Rafael Montero, the Rangers’ three arbitration-eligible players who were not under contract yet for 2020. With all three players being under contract now, the Rangers will extend their streak to 20 years without going to arbitration with a player. The last Rangers arbitration case, of course, was with Lee Stevens in 2000.

Gallo will make $4.4 million in 2020, Danny Santana will make $3.6 million, and Rafael Montero will make $785,000. This is more or less in line with what Cot’s has for the trio (in aggregate), and means that the payroll is currently still sitting at around the $145-146M mark that we thought it was at.
