We have four LDS games set for today, and all four series could potentially come to an end today.
In the early afternoon game, the Braves look to finish off the Marlins at 1:08 p.m. Central. Atlanta is up 2-0 and is sending Kyle Wright to the mound against Sixto Sanchez.
In the mid-afternoon game, the A’s, down 2-1 in the series, seek to stave off elimination once again against the Astros. It is a 2:35 p.m. Central start time, and Frankie Montas is listed for the A’s as starting against Zack Greinke (TBD was a late scratch) for Houston. Greinke has been dealing with arm soreness, so how effective he is and how long he can go will be an open question.
In the early evening game, the Rays, up 2-1, try to eliminate the Yankees in a 6:10 p.m. start. Ryan Thompson is listed as starting for the Rays against Jordan Montgomery for the Yankees, though there have already been starting pitcher shenanigoats in this series, so how long either pitcher goes, and who might follow them, remains to be seen.
Finally, the Dodgers and Padres play at 8:08 p.m. in Arlington. Adrian Morejon is listed as the starter for the Padres, while the Dodgers, looking to sweep San Diego, have TBD listed.
