Rays/Yankees Game 5 ALDS discussion thread

Rays and Yankees, for the right to advance to the LCS against Houston

We have a winner-take-all Game 5 in the divisional series matchup between the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees tonight. Gerrit Cole will be pitching for the Yankees on three days rest, while Tyler Glasnow, who is going on two days rest, is currently listed as the starter for the Rays.

I’m not sure how long either pitcher will end up going — Glasnow, in particular, would seem likely to be on the mound for just a couple of innings in what would normally be his throw day — but Pittsburgh Pirates fans at least can watch a couple of heralded young pitchers who came up through their system, and then went on to greater success individually and team-wise after they left Pittsburgh, go up against one another.

Game time is 6:10 p.m. Central, and you can see it on TBS.
