Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the series between the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners scheduled for March 26-29, 2020, will not take place at Seattle’s T-Mobile Park, as originally scheduled, the Mariners announced today.
This is in response to Washington Governor Jay Inslee instituting a ban on gatherings of more than 250 people, in an effort to slow the spread of the Coronavirus.
If the games are played, they will likely take place at the Mariners spring training facility in Peoria, Arizona, likely with empty stands, though no announcement in that regard has been made yet.
Its very possible, however, that MLB will cancel the first several weeks of the season.
