Good morning, LSB.

There’s a lot today on the new MLB-sanctioned The Show 2020 tournament where Rangers’ outfielder Joey Gallo will represent Texas and provide Ranger fans with, you know, something to root for in their downtime.

Gallo predicted a middle-of-the-pack finish for himself prior to the opening of the tournament Friday night.

And then the ol’ sand-baggin’ son-of-a-gun goes out and defeats Blake Snell, Amir Garrett, Lance McCullers Jr. and Trevor May to start out the tourney 4-0. Way to go, Joe. Make us proud.

Evan Grant has info on the possible geography-based league realignment should the MLB opt to split the 2020 season between the Arizona and Florida spring training facilities. The Rangers’ half of the league would be missing a couple of pretty notable teams.

Grant also has a scouting report on Rangers’ sixth-ranked prospect Ricky Vanasco.

At The Athletic, Saad Yousuf has a nice story on his favorite player, Hunter Pence.

Jesse Sanchez takes a look at the future closers of the AL West.

The Strat-O-Matic Rangers got Greinke’d yesterday.

Have a good weekend.
