MLB and the MLBPA have announced the results of the latest round of COVID-19/Coronavirus testing that has been administered.

A total of 66 tests out of 3,748 samples tested came back positive, it was announced — 58 players and 8 staffers. That is a 1.8% positive test rate.

The Texas Rangers have a pair of players who are in the quarantine process currently. Joey Gallo has been asymptomatic, and has had positive tests and negative tests, but not two negative tests in a row, as is required to be cleared to return to action. Brett Martin, who is one of the Rangers’ two players with health conditions putting them in the high-risk category (he has Type 1 diabetes), also has tested positive and was showing symptoms early last week, though reports currently indicate he has largely recovered.
