The Texas Rangers gave up three unearned runs due to more poor defense in the first frame, did not collect a hit until the seventh inning, had just three total for the evening, and thankfully one of the hits was a solo Rougned Odor home run to help them stave off the embarrassment of also getting shut out.
The Rangers have scored six runs in four games.
Someone turn my DoppelRanger around so it may avert its gaze.
Player of the Game: Kyle Gibson was alright in his Rangers debut tonight as he allowed zero earned runs in his five innings of work. Unfortunately, he made the shaky professional decision to join the Texas Rangers.
Up Next: The Rangers will send Lance Lynn to the mound in the finale while they hope to get at least one hit against LHP Madison Bumgarner who will make the start for the Diamondbacks. First pitch from The Shed is scheduled for 3:05 pm CT.
