Texas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor left today’s game in the third inning due to rightness in his right oblique. Odor had grounded out to lead off the third, but was replaced in the bottom of the third by Adolis Garcia, who went to left field, with left fielder Nick Solak moving to second base.
The Rangers will evaluate him further tomorrow, but it would be fair to assume that Odor will sit tomorrow, and could end up on the injured list. The Rangers already have Danny Santana nursing a forearm injury that is limiting him to pinch running and lefty pinch hitting duties, though the 30 man roster provides a little extra leeway in being able to carry someone who might not be available for a couple of days.
Solak would presumably play second base if Odor is going to miss time.
