Texas Rangers broadcaster C.J. Nitkowski has tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced today.

With Nitkowski having tested positive, the Rangers gave their TV broadcast crew the night off yesterday, and simulcast the radio broadcast with the TV feed. Nitkowski’s broadcast partner Dave Raymond has tested negative, and has indicated he will be back in the booth tonight, though there has been no official announcement at this point.

With the season ending in nine days, my guess is that Nitkowski will not be back in the booth this year, and some combination of Tom Grieve, Jared Sandler and Mark McLemore will be joining Dave.
