MLB: Oakland Athletics at Texas Rangers
What, no Joel Kiviranta cutout?

Good morning, LSB.

The Rangers dropped their third in a row last night, a 6-3 sleeper to the Mariners.

Jeff Wilson has notes from the loss in which the Rangers managed only two hits through the first eight innings of the game.

They did not lose because of Kyle Cody, who’s looking pretty decent in his audition for the 2021 rotation.

Rookie southpaw John King looked...less decent. But hey, it was his first time.

Shin-Soo Choo is the Rangers’ very deserving finalist for MLB’s Roberto Clemente award.

Choo is a good dude and it seems like he has a genuine interest in the development of younger players.

The Orioles’ nominee for the Clemente award is our old friend Hanser Alberto, who, it seems, is also a really good dude.

Yu Darvish is on his way to a Cy Young.
