Tank you, Seattle

The Texas Rangers scored three runs and the Seattle Mariners scored five runs.

The Rangers are one of just two teams in the league that haven’t won at least 14 games and remain a game back of the other one (the Pittsburgh Pirates) for the league’s worst record.

tank goes brrr

Player of the Game: Anderson Tejeda hit the second home run of his big league career but the first as a right-handed batter of his professional career. Tejada started switch hitting just last season.

Update: I guess, because I wasn’t really paying attention, Shin-Soo Choo’s 4-hit evening with a dinger should be noted and appropriately praised, as well. Nice night, Choo!

Up Next: This series between the Rangers and Mariners continues tomorrow with Jordan Lyles next up to make the start for Texas against RHP Justin Dunn for Seattle. Sunday’s first pitch from T-Mobile Park Safeco Field is scheduled for 3:10 pm CT.
