Monday Morning Texas Rangers Update

I miss baseball

Good morning. It might have been like 75 degrees outside on Christmas day but we’re walking in a winter wonderland around here in January.

Evan Grant notes that Clayton Kershaw and members of the Texas Rangers probably weren’t expecting snow when they showed up to help out at the Players Alliance “Pull Up Neighbor” Tour stop in Dallas on Sunday.

Will Leitch takes a look at the longest-tenured player for each team. For the Rangers, it’s the only player left from the best years in team history and he just lost his job, so, yeah.

I just noticed this from the other day but Jim Callis predicts in a MLB Pipeline Inbox column that Maximo Acosta will be the No. 1 or No. 2 prospect in baseball by the end of 2023. There’s also a question about Luisangel Acuna’s viability as a prospect.

Fangraphs is crowdsourcing opinions on every radio broadcast crew if you want to give them your opinion on the Rangers’ duo.

And, in a way, Drew Brees helped make the Rangers playoff winners again.

Be well!
