The MLB Pipeline 2021 top 100 prospect list is out, and the Texas Rangers placed three prospects on the list.

Josh Jung, the Rangers’ first round pick out of Texas Tech in 2019, is the top ranked Ranger on the list, coming in at #63. Catcher Sam Huff, who made his major league debut in 2020, checks in at #78 on the list. And pitcher Dane Dunning, who was acquired from the Chicago White Sox in the Lance Lynn trade, is at #91 in the rankings.

Leody Taveras has been #4 on the Rangers list behind those three on MLB Pipeline, so it is not a surprise that he didn’t crack the list. Leody, of course, was the only Ranger to be listed in Keith Law’s top 100, which was released earlier today.

As we have discussed, those four appear to be the clear top tier in terms of how the rankings places have the Rangers’ system evaluated, and generally in consideration for top 100 slots, though who is in and who is out of a top 100 list, and in what order they are ranked, obviously varies.
