Good morning.
Kennedi Landry has the top Qs to A for the Texas Rangers over the next several months as they set their sights on improvement in 2022.
Some questions were already answered as Jeff Wilson notes that the Rangers brought in a new farm director and bench coach on Monday.
Landry writes that it’s Josh Bonifay from the Phillies who was hired to oversee player development while Donnie Ecker from the Giants will become Chris Woodward’s new right hand man.
Levi Weaver writes that this is round two for Bonifay and Ecker in Texas with Bonifay a member of Jeff Banister’s staff in 2017 and Ecker a former Rangers draftee in 2007.
Evan Grant writes that the former hitting coach Ecker will have a big role in developing the hitting program and batting philosophy for the org.
Weaver continues his look at the vaunted free agent shortstop class, and how my might be a fit for the Rangers, with Javier Baez.
And, remember when the Rangers’ second-round pick had a “medical anomaly” crop up days before the signing deadline? Grant writes about Aaron Zavala’s harrowing July.
Have a nice day!
