Good morning.

Jeff Wilson has a slew of notes on the 1-1 six inning Cactus League tie by the Texas Rangers and San Francisco Giants from yesterday.

Sam Blum writes about yesterday’s starter Kyle Gibson debuting a cutter in his inning of action.

Kennedi Landry has notes from yesterday’s game including Gibson’s new pitch, Charlie Culberson’s solid day at the plate, and the upcoming spring TV schedule from Fox Sports Southwest.

Tim Cowlishaw writes about how he doesn’t follow or care about the Rangers but the paper sends him out to Arizona every year so here’s his annual Rangers article.

Jared Sandler discusses the position battles that are set to be waged at Rangers camp this spring.

Blum writes that the Rangers are trying to manufacture one of those battles in centerfield so that Leody Taveras has some healthy competition for the job.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa has his job locked up and is happy to have shed the willing to do anything just to be here label while aiming to show that he’s an elite everyday shortstop.

Wilson writes that David Dahl was ticked off by getting dumped by the Colorado Rockies so he’s got something to prove this season.

Landry has more on Dahl who wants to show that he’s the All-Star from 2019 rather than the non-tendered player from 2020.

And, ESPN’s David Schoenfield picks an interesting non-roster invitee for each team with Delino DeShields getting the nod for Texas.

Be well!
