Good morning, folks...

Nate Lowe has been named the Texas Rangers’ starting first baseman, though Ronald Guzman, who is out of options, has also made the club.

Manager Chris Woodward says that Lowe’s approach and at bat quality have impressed this spring.

With Willie Calhoun and Khris Davis starting the year on the injured list, Guzman is one of those who will have a chance for regular DH at bats.

Guzman was’s pick for the player who “wowed” during camp.

Fangraphs’ projections having the Rangers last in the majors in projected WAR at shortstop have provided Isiah Kiner-Falefa with some extra motivation.

Taylor Hearn eats a full-sized Snickers bar during games where he pitches.

The Rangers’ website has notes on Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Nate Lowe, Ronald Guzman, Josh Sborz, Nick Vincent, Drew Butera, Andy Ibanez and Anderson Tejeda.

And David Laurila has his Sunday Notes column up at Fangraphs.
