Rougned Odor being traded to the New York Yankees from the Texas Rangers led to a number of people to ask: what is Rougie going to do about his beard?
One of Odor’s hallmarks with the Rangers was his facial hair. But the New York Yankees have a policy of requiring players to be cleanshaven. What would a Rougned Odor without a beard look like?
Well, Odor has been activated today, and courtesy of reporter Marly Rivera, we have our first look at the bare-faced Odor:
Here is the BEARDLESS Rougned Odor reunited with former Rangers teammate (and close friend and compatriot) Robinson Chirinos! Odor was activated by the Yankees today and Chirinos is rehabbing in Tampa. https://t.co/f8wjX9fIbn pic.twitter.com/AK1IWSCPBr

Odor looks...unrecognizable. Even with Robinson Chirinos next to him, if you hadn’t told me that was Rougned Odor, I wouldn’t have known who that was.
Odor is not starting today — D.J. LeMahieu is at second base, with Jay Bruce at first base and Gio Urshela at third base. There has been some thought that LeMahieu, who can play all over the infield, would get more time at first base, with Odor getting some starts at second, but for today, anyway, LeMahieu is still at second.
