Good morning, LSB.
The Rangers took a fun one last night to clinch a 3-1 series win against the reigning AL Champs.
Adolis Garcia provided the big hit, a 10th inning home run to right field a day after Big Replay tried to job him out of his first Major League dinger.
Garcia says after his reversed homer on Wednesday, he told a friend “I’m going to get it tomorrow.”
Taylor Hearn offered a good performance last night as well, on a day when he and over 100 other Major Leaguers donated their game salaries to The Players Alliance, which seeks to help improve Black representation in baseball.
Levi Weaver also has a good piece up on Hearn, who says he wants to help Black players feel less alone in the game.
Peter Gammons writes on The Athletic that the MLB is now in the “Substance Era.” The name could use some workshopping but...
And Keith Law has a freshly updated Top 50 for the 2021 MLB Draft.
The Rangers now return home for a three-game stretch against the lowly Baltimore Orioles with a chance to get back to .500. First pitch tonight at 7:05. Happy Friday.
