The Texas Rangers scored one run and the Boston Red Sox scored six runs.
Honestly, this one was destined as soon as the Rangers decided to wear those god awful hats again.
Player of the Game: For the second time in two big league appearances, I’m giving this honor to reliever Hyeon-Jong Yang who, unlike starter Kohei Arihara who was blisted for six runs in 2 2⁄3 innings, gave the Rangers some much-needed innings as he lasted 4 1⁄3 and allowed zero runs on one hit, one walk, and collected four strikeouts to save the bullpen.
Up Next: The Rangers and Red Sox will battle for a lead in this series with RHP Jordan Lyles set to make the start tomorrow night against LHP Eduardo Rodriguez. Saturday’s first pitch from The Shed is scheduled for an hour earlier at 6:05 pm CT.
