Good morning, LSB.

The Rangers lost to the Astros 4-3 in 11 innings last night to drop their third straight. Sam Blum has notes from the loss.

Kennedi Landry (happy birthday, per twitter) writes about the 10th inning laser throw by Joey Gallo, which saved the game, as Landry says, briefly.

Jeff Wilson says one late Chris Woodward move may have doomed the Rangers last night.

Blum also has various other housekeeping notes and talks about the crowded outfield situation.

Jamey Newberg highlights some Rangers prospects who started hot in their first week of game action.

Evan Grant answers fan questions and talks middle-infield, free agency, and Joey Gallo, among other things.

Masks n stuff.

MLB Pipeline picks a prospect from each team who could eventually become a closer. Interesting pick for the ‘Gers.

The Mariners made a couple of big promotions yesterday and called up some dudes we’ll probably be seeing for a while.

And finally, Shirley Kost, known endearingly as “Cookie Lady,” has passed away at 82, the team announced yesterday.

That’s all for this morning. The Rangers’ continue their series with the hated Astros tonight at 7:10.
