Giancarlo Stanton has been placed on the injury list due to a quad strain, the New York Yankees have announced. The outfielder is on the 10 day injured list, and there is no indication at this point how much time Stanton is expected to miss.
The 31 year old Stanton has struggled to stay on the field throughout his career. He has a .282/.347/.534 slash line in 33 games this season, which is in line with what he has done historically, so the Yankees have to feel good about that, at least.
And some exciting news for Rangers fans...Rougned Odor, who is currently on the injured list, is expected to be activated during the Yankees’ series in Arlington. I know all Rangers fans miss Odor, and they are no doubt excited about the prospect of seeing him play in Arlington this week, so I’m sure this is good news for everybody.
