Jack Kruger outrighted to Round Rock

Catcher Jack Kruger has cleared waivers and been outrighted to AAA Round Rock, the Texas Rangers announced today. The 26 year old Kruger had been claimed on waivers by the Rangers from the Anaheim Angels on May 9, 2021, was put on the taxi squad, and then was designated for assignment by the Rangers on May 15, 2021, so that Hunter Wood could be added to the active and 40 man roster.

I am pretty sure Jack Kruger is not related to Lon Kruger, the longtime college basketball head coach who also was the head coach for the Atlanta Hawks from 2000-03.

I also don’t think he’s related to Diane Kruger, the model turned actress who starred in Troy, Inglourious Basterds, and National Treasure, among other films.

He has no connection that I’m aware of to former South African president Paul Kruger, after whom the Krugerrand gets its name.

He wouldn’t seem to have any relation to Mr. Kruger, president of Kruger Industrial Smoothing and George Costanza’s boss on Seinfeld, since that’s a TV show.

For similar reasons, there doesn’t seem to be any tie between him and Freddy Krueger. Also, Freddy spells his name differently.

I’m basically 100% sure about all of the above, though that may be a manifestation of the Dunning-Kruger Effect, which, again, has nothing to do with Jack Kruger.
