Three games today, as Round Rock had a day off today. None of them got no-hit.

And some bad news...Dane Acker, the starting pitcher who came over from Oakland in the Elvis Andrus trade and had started off well in a pair of outings for Down East, has landed on the injured list with a sore elbow. We shall see how long he is on the shelf, but that’s never good news.

Wyatt Sparks started for Down East today and went 4.1 IP, allowing 3 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits with 2 Ks. Evan Carter was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. Keyber Rodriguez had two hits, and Jose Rodriguez had a single.

Hickory had Cole Ragans start and go 4 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks, striking out 4. Scott Kapers and Chris Seise each homered. Jonathan Ornelas got the only other hit for Hickory tonight.

Tyler Phillips started for Frisco, and allowed 1 run in 3 IP, albeit with 3 hits allowed, 4 walks and 2 Ks. Fernery Ozuna had a scoreless inning with a hit, a walk and a K. Hever Bueno had a scoreless inning, and Alex Speas gave up a run on two hits with two Ks. Steele Walker had three singles and a double, and Davis Wendzel had a single and a double.
