MLB: Houston Astros at Texas Rangers Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning, LSB.

The Rangers won a wild one last night on the bat of one José Adolis García.

Evan Grant writes that Dak Prescott and the rest of the Globe Life audience saw El Bombi save the Rangers from a real bummer of a loss.

Jeff Wilson has notes and quotes from the win with Superlative Chris Woodward out in full force, hoo boy.

Kennedi Landry notes that it’s the Rangers’ first win against the hated Astros in 2021.

And speaking of, Jeff Wilson says the Astros players were subject to heavy booing from the Rangers crowd, which I might estimate only slightly outnumbered the Astros fans in the stands.

And now in a Gordon Keith-esque stopdown of our good time, Rangers’ prospect Chris Seise will miss the rest of the season yet again after tearing his ACL during Hickory’s game on Wednesday.

There’s a new Weaver Wire with quick hits on no-hitters and an updated Rangers’ rotation.

Behind the DMN paywall is a pretty great story on how the hell Eric Nadel and Matt Hicks are able to pull off broadcasting the Rangers’ road games from their booth in Globe Life. In a surprise to no one, Nadel, Hicks, and Jared Sandler have been as great as ever in 2021.

Elsewhere, the Rays made a pretty Rays-ish trade yesterday.

And Miggy Cabrera homered twice last night, numbers 490 and 491.

That’s all for this morning. Have a good weekend.
