22-28 - Rangers blasted in the Big A, lose 11-5 to Angels in opener

An inauspicious start to the road trip

MLB: Texas Rangers at Los Angeles Angels Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Texas Rangers scored five runs and the Anaheim Angels scored eleven runs.

Well that didn’t go well. Luckily for me, I guess, I was unable to view tonight’s massacre because BS Southwest decided to show some college baseball instead.

Player of the Game:

Yeah, sure, the Rangers got blown out but at least we’ve still got El Bombi!

Also, the box score tells me that Demarcus Evans made his 2021 debut after getting called up today and he tossed two shutout innings with four strikeouts so that’s pretty good.

Up Next: The Rangers close out this brief two-game set in Anaheim with RHP Dane Dunning next in line for Texas against RHP Griffin Canning for the Angels. First pitch in Wednesday’s finale from Angel Stadium is scheduled for 3:07 pm CT.
