Minor league update for 5/26/21

Cole Ragans and Tyler Phillips headlined Ranger affiliate action

Round Rock is off, so we have three Ranger minor league games.

Tyler Phillips started for Frisco and went two shutout, no hit innings, walking one and striking out four. Blake Bass gave up a run in two innings of work with a hit and an HBP, striking out one. Hever Bueno went 2 IP, allowing 1 run on 3 hits, striking out 3.

Bubba Thompson and J.P. Martinez each had hits.

Cole Ragans started for Hickory and had an extremely nice outing, going five innings and allowing one run. He didn’t allow a hit until the fifth, and ended up allowing two hits total. Ragans didn’t walk anyone and struck out four.

Jonathan Ornelas and Blaine Crim each picked up a hit, Jake Guenther drew two walks, and Kellen Strahm finished a triple shy of a cycle.

Wyatt Sparks started for Down East. Sparks allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, in 5 innings of work. He allowed 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4.

Luisangel Acuna had two singles, two walks, a stolen base and a home run. Keithron Moss had two hits. Evan Carter had two walks.
