Minor league update for 5/28/21

Big offensive game for the Express, who won 8-2. Leody Taveras had a single, a home run and a walk. Delino DeShields had a hit and a pair of walks. Charles Leblanc had a homer and a double, Eli White had a triple, Carl Chester had a double, and Andy Ibanez had a pair of hits.

Yerry Rodriguez started for Frisco and went two shutout innings, striking out two and allowing one hit. Fernery Ozuna allowed two runs on four hits with a K in an inning of work.

Bubba Thompson had a grand slam, and Steele Walker had a solo home run. Sherten Apostel drew a pair of walks.

For Hickory, this Zak Kent dude continued to not allow runs. Kent went five shutout innings, striking out seven and walking one while allowing two hits. He now has 15.2 scoreless innings on the season, with 22 Ks against 3 walks.

David Garcia and Frainyer Chavez each doubled. Kellen Strahm had a two hit game, and Jonathan Ornelas and Blaine Crim each picked up hits.

T.K. Roby went four innings for Down East, allowing a run on two hits and three walks while striking out nine. Marc Church threw two scoreless, hitless innings, walking one and striking out four.

Randy Florentino homered. Dustin Harris and Luisangel Acuna each had a hit and a walk. Jayce Easley and Keyber Rodriguez each had a hit. 2020 fifth rounder Thomas Saggese made his professional debut, playing third base and going 0 for 4.
