Minor league update for 5/29/21

Nick Krauth started for Down East and was actually mortal, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 3 hits and 4 Ks, raising his ERA on the year to 1.31. Nic Laio came in in relief but faced only two batters before rain delayed, then ended prematurely, the game. Evan Carter had a hit and a walk, Cody Freeman had a hit, Jayce Easley had two walks, and Thomas Saggese had his first pro walk, his first pro HBP, and his first pro stolen base.

Avery Weems started for Hickory. He allowed two runs on four hits and a walk in three innings, striking out six. Seth Nordlin threw five shutout innings in relief, allowing two hits, walking one and striking out four.

Hickory recorded three singles, by Blaine Crim, Jake Guenther and Frainyer Chavez, and drew one walk, by Kellen Strahm.

Hans Crouse started for Frisco, going three innings and a run. He allowed a hit and three walks, striking out one. Joe Gatto allowed a run in an inning of work on two hits and a walk, striking out two. Blake Bass allowed a run in two innings, with two hits, two walks and a K. Bubba Thompson and Sherten Apostel each doubled.

Brock Burke came in in the third inning for Round Rock today and went three innings, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks, striking out four. Ryder Ryan allowed a run on two hits in two innings, striking out three. Jacob Lemoine threw two hitless, scoreless innings, walking one and striking out one.

Anderson Tejeda had a single and a homer, Yohel Pozo went three for five with his fifth homer of the season, Curtis Terry had a double, Charles Leblanc had two singles and double, Carl Chester had a double, Eli White had a hit and a walk, and Leody Taveras and Delino DeShields each had hits.
