Just one game today in the minors, but good things occurred

Not only were the Rangers off today — Memorial Day, a national holiday on a Monday — but because of the new schedules implemented for minor league teams in 2021, every team below AAA is off on Mondays.

So we have just the Round Rock game today. The good news is, the Express won by an 8-6 score.

Jacob Lemoine pitched a scoreless inning, though he walked two batters and gave up a hit while striking out two. Ryder Ryan had a scoreless inning with one K.

Offensively, both Leody Taveras and Eli White had three hit games, and each homered. Delino DeShields — who can opt out of his minor league deal tomorrow — had a single, a walk and two doubles, Yohel Pozo continued his hot start with two more hits, Curtis Terry had a pair of hits, Anderson Tejeda had a single and a walk, and Carl Chester had a double and a walk.
