Evan Carter was 0 for 2 with three walks. Luisangel Acuna was 3 for 5 with a double. Keyber Rodriguez had a hit and three walks. Thomas Saggese had a walk.
Avery Weems started for Hickory and went 3.1 IP, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks, striking out four. Seth Nordlin allowed a run in 4 IP, with one walk and five Ks.
David Garcia had a pair of hits and a walk. Blaine Crim had a homer and a single. Jonathan Ornelas had a hit. Kellen Strahm had a single and a walk.

Tyler Phillips, who was just activated from the injured list where he had landed due to a sore elbow, only faced three batters, but that appears to be because the team didn’t want to send him back out after a lengthy delay due to a lighting malfunction.
