Minor league update for 6/15/21

Josh Jung makes his AA debut

Gavin Collyer started for the Down East Wood Ducks today. He went 4 IP with one run allowed on three hits and three walks, striking out three. Nick Lockhart allowed three runs in 1.2 IP, with two walks and two hits, striking out three.

Dustin Harris had a two hit game. Luisangel Acuna, Thomas Saggese and Antonio Cabello each had hits.

Justin Slaten started for Hickory. He allowed five runs in three innings, walking five, striking out four and allowing four hits. Frainyer Chavez had three hits. Miguel Aparicio and Jonathan Ornelas each had a hit.

Cole Winn was on the bump for the Frisco Roughriders and continued to look like he’s the top pitching prospect in the organization. 6.1 IP, 2 hits, 2 walks, 5 Ks. He allowed one run, due to a walk he issued in the seventh before he was lifted, that scored on a home run off of reliever Josh Advocate. Winn now has a 2.63 ERA on the season.

Josh Jung made his 2021 debut and had a hit in four plate appearances. Sherten Apostel had a hit and J.P. Martinez had a pair of hits.

Brock Burke started for the Round Rock Express in a game that was called in the bottom of the fifth due to rain. Burke allowed four runs in three innings of work on five hits, striking out five. Andy Ibanez had a two run home run that was the only hit for the Express.
