Round Rock played Oklahoma City in the matchup of current and former Rangers AAA affiliates. Joe Gatto threw two shutout innings in his first AAA action of the year, and is a name to keep an eye on, as he could be in Arlington before too long. Jimmy Herget threw a shutout inning.
David Dahl went one for four with a double in his rehab appearance. Andy Ibanez had a single and a double. Curtis Terry and Leody Taveras each had hits.
Frisco sent Ronny Henriquez to the mound against Corpus Christi. Henriquez was doing fine through three innings, then give up five runs in the fourth, including a pair of home runs. Blake Bass had 2.1 scoreless innings in relief. Fernery Ozuna struck out five of the six batters he faced. Cole Uvila walked two and hit a batter in the ninth but ended up getting the save with a scoreless inning.
Josh Jung had a Three True Outcome game with two strikeouts, two walks and a home run. Josh Stowers had a home run. Bubba Thompson had a hit. Sherten Apostel had a double before leaving the game after hurting himself fielding a ball at first base.
Hickory had Avery Weems start today, and Weems threw five perfect innings before giving way to Seth Nordlin. Nordlin allowed five runs in four innings, but Hickory scored 11 runs today so it all worked out okay.
Jonathan Ornelas had a hit in two at bats before being replaced by Jose Acosta, who was one for three with a walk. Frainyer Chavez had a walk and a double. Kellen Strahm had a walk and a single. Blaine Crim had a pair of hits and a walk.
Nick Krauth started for Down East and gave up five runs on eight hits, including three home runs, in four innings. Nick Lockhart went three innings and gave up four runs on six hits, including three home runs.
Luisangel Acuna had a triple and Keyber Rodriguez had a single and a double.
