Down East was rained out. Sorry, Evan Carter fans. The good news is they will play two tomorrow.

Hickory had Cole Ragans getting the start, and the 2016 first rounder was dominant. He went 6 innings, allowed just one hit — a solo home run — and no walks while striking out 11. Last time out he allowed a run in five innings on two hits and no walks. Ragans could be hitting his stride after missing three full seasons.

Offensively, Kellen Strahm had two hits, and Jonathan Ornelas had a hit.

For Frisco, Cole Winn got the start, and like Cole Ragans, he allowed a single hit in six innings of work. He did walk three batters, but he struck out seven. Winn lowered his ERA on the year to 1.63, and in his last four starts, covering 23 innings, Winn has allowed one run on six hits.

Fernery Ozuna pitched a scoreless inning with a walk and two Ks.
