Round Rock is off, so there’s just three minor league games tonight.
Down East had Gavin Collyer start this evening. Collyer allowed three runs on four hits, including a homer, and four walks, striking out three in 2.1 IP. Florencio Serrano made his 2021 debut in relief of Collyer and threw 2.2 shutout innings, striking out three. Marc Church allowed two runs in one inning on four hits, including a homer, walking one and striking out one.
Cody Freeman had a single and a double. Luisangel Acuna had two walks. Jayce Easley had a hit and a walk.
Cole Ragans started for Hickory and started off well before having some hiccoughs, walking two in the fourth and then walking a batter in the fifth who scored on a two out home run. Ragans ended up going 5 IP, allowing 2 runs on 2 hits, including the homer, and 4 walks, striking out 5.
Jake Guenther, Frainyer Chavez, and Pedro Gonzalez each had hits. Kellen Strahm homered.
Yerry Rodriguez started for the Frisco Roughriders and, like Ragans, ran into trouble in the middle innings, allowing four runs in the fourth and another in the fifth. He struck out five in five innings of work and walked one. Fernery Ozuna gave up a run on two hits in 2.1 IP, striking out one.
David Dahl, who moved to Frisco from Round Rock on his rehab assignment, went three for five with a game tying three run homer in the bottom of the ninth. Bubba Thompson had a triple and a homer. Josh Stowers had a single and a double. Anderson Tejeda had a hit. Sherten Apostel had a hit and a walk.
