Some high scoring action in the upper levels

It was a wild one in Frisco, as the Roughriders used an 8 run 7th to nab a come from behind 12-10 win.

Jake Latz had his second rough outing in a row, allowing five runs in 1.2 IP. Hever Bueno allowed three runs in 2.1 IP. Blake Bass allowed a run in 1.2 IP. Ty Thomas threw 1.1 scoreless innings. Cole Uvila pitched the final two innings, allowing one run.

Rehabbing David Dahl had three hits. Josh Jung had two singles and a double. Josh Stowers had a single and a double. Anderson Tejeda and Sherten Apostel each had two hits.

Round Rock had Tyson Miller on the mound at El Paso. Miller went 2.2 IP, allowing four runs on four hits, including a homer, with a walk and a strikeout. Joe Palumbo allowed a run on three hits, including a homer, in an inning of work, striking out one. Shaun Anderson threw two scoreless, striking out two. Scott Engler allowed a run on five hits in two innings, striking out two.

Leody Taveras went 4 for 6, hitting two home runs, including a grand slam, as well as a double. Jason Martin had a single, a triple, a homer, and a walk. Curtis Terry and Ryan Dorow each had a pair of hits. Yonny Hernandez had a double and a walk.

Hickory starter Cody Bradford threw three shutout innings then saw the wheels come off in the fourth. His final line was five runs in 3.2 IP on five hits, including a homer, and two walks, with six strikeouts. Joe Corbett allowed a run on four hits and a walk in 2 IP, striking out three.

Blaine Crim had two hits. David Garcia had a hit. Frainyer Chavez drew two walks.

Down East had a doubleheader. Wyatt Sparks pitched Game One and was outstanding, throwing six shutout innings, allowing two hits and three walks and striking out five. Thomas Saggese homered. Cody Freeman and Dustin Harris doubled. Luisangel Acuna and Jayce Easley each singled.

In Game Two Abdiel Mendoza allowed one run in five innings of work, striking out six against one walk. Thomas Saggese had a double and a walk, and Luisangel Acuna had a single and a walk.
